Significant topics covered in Analog Electronics are diodes including zener diodes, feedback amplifiers, difference amplifiers, precision rectifier, oscillators, etc.

Digital Electronics

Digital Electronics is one of the important topics in GATE Syllabus for Instrumentation Engineering. Topics covered in this section are logic circuits, sequential circuits, Boolean functions, comparators, flip flops, IC families, timers, counters, multiplexer, significant bits, number systems, micro processor (8-bit), microcontrollers, data acquisition systems, etc.

Topics covered in this section include Shannon’s sampling theorem, frequency modulation including demodulation, phase frequency, LASER, LED, interferometer, fiber optic sensing, etc
