GATE 2017 Online Application Form: How to apply online for GATE 2017 Exam? We have outlined a few important steps regarding GATE Application process. The procedures regarding application for GATE are usually provided on the main website. A detailed elaboration has been made for the students, who have planned to sit for the GATE examination.
There are basically six steps to follow while apply for the GATE examination. These steps are namely, Registration; Login; Profile Filing; Upload of signature, and other relevant documents; Payment; and then finally download of the PDFs generated. The first stage is registration or enrollment in the GATE examination. The candidates are required to register their name, and contact information like e-mail and mobile number on clicking the ‘New User Register Here’ option that is visible on the GATE website.
It must be noted that the information provided shall not be subject to changes in future. Thus, you must double check the information provided before you give it a go. Click submit button. You will receive the enrollment ID via email or SMS. The second step is login. Now put in enrollment ID and password in boxes to login and when you have logged in, click on the edit application form, which will lead you to the Candidate Application Form Page. Fill in necessary requirements. It is a lengthy form so make sure you carefully fill all the details.
The third step is Profile filing. In this, the candidate is asked to select the GATE paper the candidate wishes to give. This must be noted that under no circumstances can the GATE paper be changed. Thus, make sure you are confident enough to go about with your option. Choose the city of examinations, City 1, City 2, and City 3.
Fill in other details like the date of birth, Gender, Nationality, Family details, status of Persons with Disability (abbreviated as PwD), if any, etc. If candidate is a PwD category, there is an option available called scribe. In scribe, such persons can avail adequate assistance during conduct of examination. If the candidate opts for a scribe, the Zonal GATE offices shall make necessary arrangements for a scribe to provide assistance to the candidate during examination.
The fourth step is uploading the photograph, and signatures, and other relevant documents. Follow the necessary steps clearly provided on the website. As far as documents are concerned, upload the certificate declaring the PwD status, if the candidate belongs to that category.
After you have selected the ‘submit and proceed to payment’ option, Make necessary options regarding the mode of payment because there are cases where once selected and proceeded to main payment window, there is no option to change the mode. This is the fourth step.
The last step is simple. All that is needed is downloading of the PDFs. Make sure you get the printouts of those PDFs. Now that all the steps have been covered, all you need is attentiveness. Rest of the procedure is not a messy affair at all.
